ShopRite of Hamilton Market Place is seeking a Food Service Clerk to deliver friendly, knowledgeable customer service in the Food Service department. You will assist the Food Service Manager, maintain clean displays, and ensure safe handling of products in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role emphasizes timely service, attention to detail, and the ability to work with fresh and prepared foods while upholding safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for a scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift 25–60 lbs while handling products.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly way.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
• Clean and sanitize work surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Promote current promotions to customers.
• Stock, clean, and rotate products to maintain displays.
• Prepare products (salads, sandwiches, entrees) according to recipes and standards.
• Ensure proper temperatures in displays and storage areas.
• Receive and store products following procedures and QA standards.
• Handle damaged products per policy.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
