Job summary

Meijer Inc. is hiring a Food Clerk to deliver friendly customer service, share product knowledge, and keep our Fresh departments well-organized and inviting. You will engage with customers, maintain clean displays, rotate stock, and use store technology to complete tasks efficiently.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment. Prior retail or food service experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
