Job summary

Meijer in Grand Rapids, MI is hiring a Food Clerk to join our Fresh departments. You will create a welcoming store experience, share product knowledge, and help customers find what they need while maintaining appealing displays.

You'll work in a fast-paced retail environment, stay physically active, and use technology to complete tasks accurately. Previous retail or food service experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to share product knowledge with customers.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Able to stay active in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
