Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Food Clerk to help keep our Fresh departments welcoming, well‑stocked, and safe. You will interact with customers, share product knowledge, and support team efforts to deliver great shopping experiences.

You’ll work across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery, use technology for tasks, and follow safety standards. Prior retail or food service experience is helpful but not required; physical tasks are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or retail is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to learn product knowledge and company systems.
• Ability to follow safety and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
