Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc in the United States (Maryland–Jessup area) is seeking a production associate for a fast-paced fresh cut produce facility. Responsibilities include cutting, packing, and assembling various fresh produce while following safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

You will work in a cold environment, operate appropriate hand tools, and participate in a team-driven production flow with attention to detail and adherence to schedules.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months of food processing experience.
• At least 6 months experience with large scale food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include holidays and weekends.
• 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety, quality, and operational procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Adhere to safety and regulatory compliance including USDA, QTV, FDA, OSHA, SQF.
• Ensure quality standards throughout the process.
• Cut fresh produce by hand using knives or other hand tools.
• Pack and assemble fresh cut produce.
• Work in a cold environment (35–38°F).
• Wear safety shoes (steel/composite/aluminum toe, slip resistant).
• Must work around cleaning chemicals and ammonia.
• Other duties as assigned.
