Job summary

Ford Motor Company in the United States is seeking a Material Freight Lead Analyst to partner with MP&L and NA Logistics. You will analyze freight costs, build data models, and drive cost efficiencies to ensure timely material delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in accounting/finance with 5+ years of experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a hybrid on-site environment four days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with large data sets.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large amounts of data from various sources to identify freight payment trends for tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
• Collaborate with NAML to understand logistics network operation, carrier contracts, and payment systems.
• Participate in continuous improvement discussions to identify network savings and efficiency targets.
• Assist with Budget and Business Plan financials and provide YoY efficiency analysis.
• Prepare material freight accruals, identify cost drivers, and allocate costs by vehicle lines.
• Lead review of liabilities with Global Controller, PWC and NA Accounting.
• Lead freight cost submissions for Forward Model cycle studies and PD SoMP reviews.
• Ensure correct segment reporting and support ad-hoc projects.
• Maintain Python/Alteryx workflows and other analytical tools.
