Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• FRA 240 and 242 Certification.
• Two years of work experience; three years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate locomotives and trains in a safe, efficient manner.
• Interpret train orders, railroad rules, and pass tests to verify competency.
• Monitor speed, brakes, and gauges for smooth operation.
• Inspect railcars and track conditions per FRA regulations and safety rules.
• Coordinate movement with conductors and communicate using signals or radios.
• Prepare daily reports and train-related documentation.
