Job summary

Benshaw in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Freight Packager to prepare products for shipment, including picking, packing, labeling and securing items for transport. The role involves palletizing, banding, and use of forklift as needed, with a Monday–Friday day shift and some overtime.

You will work closely with Logistics to ensure accurate packing, proper weights/dimensions, and maintain clean, organized packaging areas. Prior warehouse experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares large, palletized freight for shipment; banding and shrink wrap.
• Boxes and foam midsized items for freight shipment.
• Packages for web stock builds.
• Maintains shipping supply inventory (banding, wood pallets, tape, wrap).
• Builds pallets as needed.
• Marks weights and dimensions on packaged units.
• Uses forklift and crane when necessary.
• Loads trucks.
• Keeps work area clean; ensures battery-operated items are charged.
• Offloads, inspects and signs BOL/delivery receipts; notes damage.
