Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor in the Dallas area to lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations. You will develop strategies, assign workloads, and ensure safe, efficient, on-time delivery while controlling costs.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment.
• Knowledge of the LTL industry, hazmat regulations and DOT rules and regulations.
• Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet evolving department demands.
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks across the team.
• Supervise hourly staff and serve as primary contact for workplace concerns.
• Ensure delivery of production goals by managing tonnage, payroll and admin tasks.
• Plan hourly schedules to meet daily goals and reduce costs.
• Enforce company, FMCSR, OSHA, CCMTA, NSC and DOT policies and laws.
• Guide safety and process improvements across the shift.
