Job summary

XPO is hiring a Freight Operations Supervisor in North Charleston, SC. You will lead and supervise all freight operations, develop procedures to meet evolving departmental demands, and manage workloads and a diverse hourly team to ensure on-time, damage-free deliveries.

The role requires knowledge of LTL, regulatory compliance, and the ability to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends. XPO offers strong benefits and growth opportunities within a global logistics network.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in warehouse, distribution, supply chain or related environment.
• Knowledge of LTL industry rules and DOT regulations.
• Able to work days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all freight operations activities.
• Develop and implement procedures to meet department demands.
• Evaluate, manage and assign workloads and tasks.
• Supervise hourly staff across operations and address workplace questions.
• Ensure production goals by managing tonnage, payroll and admin tasks.
• Plan hourly schedules to meet daily goals and reduce costs.
• Enforce company policies and regulatory requirements (FMCSR, OSHA, DOT).
• Direct a team to consistently meet productivity goals.
• Participate in safety and engagement committees.
• Train employees on safety rules and processes.
