Job summary

XPO is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor to lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations, ensuring timely processing and delivery of customer freight. You will develop procedures, manage workloads, and enforce safety and regulatory requirements across shifts.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment.
• Knowledge of the Less-than-Truckload (LTL) industry, hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules and regulations.
• Willingness to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet department needs.
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks.
• Supervise hourly staff and serve as primary contact for workplace concerns.
• Ensure production goals are met by managing tonnage, payroll and admin tasks.
• Plan hourly schedules to meet daily goals and reduce costs.
• Enforce company policies and DOT regulations; ensure compliance across operations.
• Direct a team to meet or exceed productivity goals.
• Provide coaching and conduct evaluations for new hires.
