Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor to lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations in a fast-paced distribution network.

You will develop strategic work procedures, assign workloads, coach hourly staff, and ensure on-time, damage-free delivery while meeting production goals. The role requires 2 years in warehouse or logistics, knowledge of LTL and DOT rules, and the ability to work days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in a warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment.
• Knowledge of the LTL industry and DOT regulations.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet evolving department demands.
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks.
• Supervise hourly staff and act as primary contact for workplace concerns.
• Ensure production goals are met by managing tonnage, payroll and admin functions.
• Plan hourly employee schedules to meet daily operations and lower costs.
• Enforce FMCSR, OSHA, CCMTA, NSC and DOT policies and laws.
• Coach and develop employees on safety and quality requirements.
