Job summary

XPO is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor in Oklahoma to lead and optimize freight processing, scheduling, and team performance on a day-to-day basis. You will drive safe, compliant, and cost-efficient operations while supporting a team of hourly staff across shifts.

You’ll implement procedures, monitor performance metrics, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer deadlines and quality standards. A strong leadership mindset and knowledge of LTL regulations are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in a warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment.
• Knowledge of the Less-than-Truckload (LTL) industry, hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules and regulations.
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Preferred: 2 years of supervisory experience and LTL industry exposure.
• Strong leadership, communication and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet department demands.
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks.
• Supervise hourly staff across operations and address workplace concerns.
• Ensure production goals by managing tonnage, payroll and admin tasks.
• Plan hourly schedules to meet daily goals and lower costs.
• Enforce FMCSR, OSHA, CCMTA, NSC and DOT policies and laws.
• Coach employees on safety rules and quality requirements.
• Direct a team to meet productivity targets and hire/suspend decisions.
