Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor in Oklahoma City. You will lead freight operations and supervise hourly staff, ensuring on-time, damage-free processing while enforcing FMCSR, OSHA, DOT policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities include designing procedures, planning schedules, managing workloads, and driving productivity. A strong leader with logistics know-how and a focus on safety will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in a warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment
• Knowledge of the LTL industry, hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules and regulations
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Distribution or Logistics or 4 years of related work/military experience
• Preferred: 2 years of supervisory experience

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet evolving department demands
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks
• Supervise hourly staff across operations and be main contact for workplace concerns
• Ensure production goals are met by managing tonnage, payroll and admin tasks
• Plan hourly schedules to meet daily ops goals and reduce costs
• Enforce company, FMCSR, OSHA, CCMTA, NSC and DOT policies and laws
• Train employees on safety rules and processes and improve load average and model compliance
• Participate in safety and engagement committees and conduct new hire evaluations
• Direct a team to meet or exceed productivity goals and hire/suspend/terminate recommendations
