Job summary

Buckle in Carbondale, IL is seeking a Freight Coordinator to support store operations, receive and unpack shipments, ship merchandise, manage the backroom, and perform routine cleaning.

You will handle accurate packing, ensure transfers and freight are correctly processed, and provide friendly guest service in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: No prior experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Verify merchandise invoices match items received.
• Send alterations, layaways, or special orders to Guests via FedEx.
• Check accuracy of freight packing slips and transfer slips.
• Ensure transfers are processed through the register and match shipped items.
• Fold items and place in appropriate sized boxes when shipping to Guests or other stores.
• Remove pins and plastic from merchandise shipped in and tag garments with Sensormatic tags.
• Hang and fold merchandise for the sales floor and steam when necessary.
• Assist on floor projects when necessary.
• Work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends and peak shopping days.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of POS software.
• Receive freight boxes and store transfers through register.
• Maintain shipment-related paperwork and keep area organized.
