Job summary

Buckle is opening a new Round Rock store and will interview starting October 1st. The Freight Coordinator helps fulfill our guest experience mission by handling receiving, shipping, backroom maintenance, and routine cleaning.

The role covers duties from verifying shipments, tagging merchandise, managing POS-related tasks, packing, recalls, and RTVs, with an emphasis on accuracy, security, and customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• No prior experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Verify merchandise invoices against received shipments to ensure accuracy.
• Process alterations, layaways, or special orders to Guests via FedEx.
• Check accuracy of freight packing slips and transfer slips.
• Ensure transfers are recorded through the register and match shipped items.
• Prepare appropriate boxes and presentation for items shipped to Guests or other stores.
• Tag garments with Sensormatic tags and maintain visual merchandising.
• Hang and fold merchandise and steam when necessary.
• Assist on floor projects as needed.
• Work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends and holiday periods.
• Develop knowledge of POS software and use it effectively.
• Receive freight boxes and transfers through the register.
• Maintain shipment-related paperwork and organize supplies.
• Monitor for security risks and respond appropriately.
• Create FedEx labels and sort packages by transit time.
• Process recalls and RTVs weekly.
• Keep fixtures, shelving and backroom organized.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
• Report policy violations to Store Manager/HR in a timely manner.
• Provide feedback on merchandise handling to management.
• Adhere to Buckle Code of Ethics and company policies.
• Contribute to the mission with high customer service and teamwork.
