Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc in Waite Park, MN is seeking a dock/warehouse worker to transport freight across dock areas, operate forklift and pallet jack, and assist with freight documentation and loading tasks.

Role requires basic math, good communication, and the ability to lift heavy freight; high school diploma preferred, 18+ years old, warehouse experience desirable. Compensation is hourly with benefits for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior warehousing, freight handling and/or forklift experience preferred.
• Hostler/yard mule duties experience preferred if required.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack and hand truck.
• Verify freight documentation for type, weight, hazardous materials.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps or rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as needed.
• Assist customers with freight and documentation.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations and company procedures.
