Job summary

GLOVIS America Inc. is seeking a Supervisor of Freight Forwarding Accounting in Duluth, GA. The role oversees daily accounting activities for Freight Forwarding units, coordinates month-end through year-end closings, reviews journals and reconciliations, and collaborates with Operations to resolve revenue and cost issues.

The position requires 5–8 years in financial accounting/reporting with supervisory experience; a bachelor’s degree is required. Location is in Duluth with some travel possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5-8 years of experience in Financial Accounting and Reporting, Logistics, Month End Closing.
• 6-9 years of experience in Financial Accounting and Reporting, Logistics, Month End Closing (preferred).
• 1-3 years of supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of Senior Analysts and Administrators.
• Coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing.
• Review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Monitor billing, AR, collections, and cost-recording issues.
• Assist the Manager with budget, forecast, and profitability analysis.
