Job summary

ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, is seeking a clerical/customer service associate for the Kansas City service center. You will handle daily clerical work and support customer communications to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.

The role operates on hourly pay with union scale wages, excellent health/welfare benefits with no premiums, and paid time off. Evening and on-demand shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation industry preferred.
• Experience in billing, collections, tracing, ten-key and OS&D.
• Good typing/data entry and clerical skill, preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook), preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, required.
• Must be organized, able to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Regular communication with customers and ABF Freight management to ensure timely pickup and delivery.
• Assist with clerical tasks and general administrative duties in the service center.
• Follow procedures and maintain organized workflow.
