Job summary

ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, is seeking a service center clerk to support daily operations, handling clerical tasks and customer service.

You will communicate with customers and management to ensure timely pickups and deliveries, maintain accurate records, and assist with billing and office duties as needed.

The role requires clear communication, organization, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, with union benefits and overtime eligibility.

Qualifications

• Experience in the transportation industry preferred.
• Experience in billing, collections, tracing, ten-key and OS&D.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook) preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills required.
• Must be organized and able to multi-task and prioritize workload.
• Must be willing to work evenings and on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities

• Regular communication with customers and ABF Freight management to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
• Assist with clerical tasks and office duties to support service center operations.
