Job summary

Southwest Airlines Co. is seeking a Freight Agent in Massachusetts to load and unload cargo, coordinate with multiple teams, and ensure timely shipments. This role requires the ability to work outdoors, lift heavy items, and pass security and DOT-related checks.

A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required. Pay starts at $21.01 per hour with overtime opportunities and union-based wage scales.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in airline/ramp/operations preferred.
• Must be able to obtain SIDA badge and meet airport requirements.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to read, speak and write English.

Responsibilities

• Provides friendly service to internal and external Customers.
• Works with airport teams to keep flights on schedule and cargo moving.
• Loads/unloads cargo and operates in cargo facilities.
• Performs security and safety checks on cargo shipments as required.
• Operates a computerized point-of-sale system for shipments and balances daily transactions.
