Job summary

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC is hiring for a warehouse selector who will pick finished gifts in cold storage (-10° to 40°) using an RF scanner and input data into the WMS. The role requires palletizing goods and moving them to staging areas with a hand-jack, while meeting production standards.

Applicants should have some high school education and at least 6 months in a distribution center; basic reading and math skills and experience with inventory scanning tools are needed.

This position is responsible for accurately picking product (finished gifts) using an RF scanner in cold storage (-10° to 40°).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pick product using a RF scanner in cold storage pulling the correct SKU and quantity
• Use RF scanner to input data into warehouse management system
• Palletize product and moves pallet to staging area using a hand-jack
• Able to meet or exceed production standards
• Comply with all SQF (safe Quality Food) standards
• Maintain reasonable and reliable attendance

EDUCATION AND/OOR EXPERIENCE

• Some high school education required
• 6+ months experience working in a distribution center desirable

PHYSICAL DEMAND AND WORK EFFORT

• Able to work in cold storage for the entire shift (-10° to 40°)
• Able to walk and stand for the entire shift (10-12 hours)
• Utilize a hand-jack in a controlled and safe environment
• Able to lift 20-30 lbs. continuously, and 50lbs. occasionally
• Able to climb stairs in cooler and freezer
• Able to maintain reasonable and reliable attendance
