Job summary

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC is seeking a Freezer Picker for the 2nd shift in a cold storage environment to accurately pick finished gifts using an RF scanner.

The position requires working in -10° to 40°, lifting 20–30 lbs, standing for long shifts, and meeting production standards in a distribution center.

Candidates should have some high school education and 6+ months of DC experience; basic reading and math skills and PC or scanning equipment experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick product using an RF scanner in cold storage pulling the correct SKU and quantity.
• Use RF scanner to input data into warehouse management system.
• Palletize product and move pallet to staging area using a hand-jack.
• Able to meet or exceed production standards.
• Comply with all SQF (safe Quality Food) standards.
• Maintain reasonable and reliable attendance.

PHYSICAL DEMAND AND WORK EFFORT

• Utilize a hand-jack and/or forklift in a controlled and safe environment
• Able to lift 20-30 lbs. continuously, and 50lbs. occasionally
• Able to climb stairs in cooler and freezer
• Able to maintain reasonable and reliable attendance
