Job summary

Midwest Food Services is seeking a Freezer Forklift Operator in Chicago, IL. You will rotate through forklift operation, selecting, loading, cycle counting, and quality inspection while maintaining safety and teamwork.

Training pays $19/hr for the first four weeks, with a base rate of $17.50/hr and potential earnings up to $26.00/hr+ with performance bonuses. Work hours are 6:30 PM–2:00 AM, Sunday–Friday, at 6500 W 51st Street.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience.
• Minimum 2 years RF scanning experience.
• Minimum 2 years inventory experience.
• Minimum 1 year forklift and pallet jack experience.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Must be able to work in a -30 degree environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and pallet jack in a fast-paced warehouse.
• Perform selecting and loading tasks to meet daily quotas.
• Conduct cycle counting and quality inspections.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness following OSHA and SDS standards.
• Adapt to multiple roles and work in a cold environment.

We pay for training! Earn $19/hr. for the first (4) weeks of training.

Work Hours: 6:30 PM – 2:00 AM, Sunday – Friday

Location: 6500 W 51st Street, Chicago, IL 60638
Base Hourly Rate: $17.50/hr.
Earn Up $26.00/hr.+ with Performance Bonus

What You’ll Do

As a Freezer Forklift Operator this position will require the employee to rotate between several key roles in the warehouse, including Forklift Operation, Selecting, Loading, Cycle Counting, and Quality Inspection. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and computer skills, be adaptable to different tasks, and demonstrate a high level of teamwork and communication skills. This employee must have good attendance, maintain safe work in the warehouse, operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods, keep the warehouse clean, and comply with OSHA and SDS Standards. You must also be able to work in an atmosphere as cold as - 30 degrees.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a 2 years of experience in a warehouse

• Minimum of 2 years of RF scanning experience

• Minimum of 2 years of inventory experience

• Minimum of 1 year of Forklift and Pallet Jack experience

• Minimum of 1 year of warehouse freezer experience

• Must be able to read and write in English

Physical Requirements: The physical requirements are that you must be able to carry, lift and/or move up to 50-60 pounds
