ADP is seeking a warehouse loader to retrieve loading assignments from the shipping office, fill out manifests, and ensure proper loading procedures. Responsibilities include hand-stacking loads, inspecting pallets, and securing cargo on trucks.

You will also assist with warehouse organization at shift end and comply with safety protocols. The role emphasizes attention to detail, ability to read manifests, and teamwork under the guidance of a loading master.

Responsabilidades

• Retrieve loading assignments and paperwork from the shipping office.
• Fill out the load manifest paperwork and use it as a guide for loading/unloading.
• Fill out all required areas of the load manifest to completion.
• Trucks are to be loaded by hand stacking or hand jack.
• Inspect the truck before loading for proper cooling and absence of maintenance issues.
• Inspect each pallet before loading to ensure proper stacking and wrapping.
• Place each pallet in the correct position and strap it to prevent movement during transit.
• Stack product as directed by a load master (highest stop to lowest from left to right).
• Pre-load freezer and cooler products from highest to lowest stops in freezer boxes, pre-stage in cooler/freezer.
• Chemicals to be loaded separate from food items and onto the tail of the truck.
• After loading, help straighten warehouse at end of shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the warehouse supervisor.

1.0 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be 16 years of age, have neat appearance and must have the ability to hear and follow instructions. Must practice safety at all times.

2.0 PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES NEEDED:

Must have the physical ability to lift and stack heavy loads, approximately 75 lbs frequently. Must have the physical ability to withstand moving product by hand from one place to another up to 72” high and as low as 12”. Must have the physical ability to read labels efficiently. Must have the physical ability to hear and follow instructions.

3.0 RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Retrieve loading assignments and paperwork from the shipping office.
• Fill out the load manifest paperwork which will be used as a guide for loading the route truck and will be used for unloading by the driver.
• Fill out all required areas of the load manifest and paperwork to its completion.
• Trucks are to be loaded by hand stacking or hand jack.
• Inspect the truck before loading to insure it is properly cooling and is free of maintenance issues that will cause damage to product during loading.
• Inspect each pallet before loading to ensure that it is stacked and wrapped properly to avoid damage during loading and during transit.
• Each pallet being loaded should be put in the correct pallet position on the truck and strapped in place to avoid the pallet from falling over during transit.
• The loader will stack the product as directed by a load master (highest stop to lowest stop from left to right).
• Freezer and cooler product will be pre-loaded from highest to lowest stops in freezer boxes; pre-staged in the cooler and freezer to be loaded in the morning.
• Chemicals are to be loaded separate from food items and on to the tail of the truck.
• After completing loading of trucks, help straighten warehouse at the end of the shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the warehouse supervisor.
