Alterra Mountain Company’s Crystal Mountain in Washington is seeking a Part-Time Freeride Coach to lead and mentor skiers and snowboarders in big mountain and freeride settings. Weekend and holiday availability is required, with coaching duties spanning recreational to competition-focused programs.

This role supports IFSA-sanctioned events and collaborates closely with the Freeride Team. The position emphasizes safety, skill development, and mountain awareness, while fostering a positive team

Qualifications

• Strong skiing/snowboarding ability across all terrain.
• Proven coaching skills and safety awareness.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Weekend/holiday availability required.

Responsibilities

• Coach Crystal Mountain Freeride Programs and freestyle/freeride lessons.
• Lead and mentor athletes; develop progressive training plans.
• Ensure schedule adherence and safety protocols.
• Support events and competitions and coordinate with Freeride Manager.
