Job summary

829 Studios is a Boston-based integrated digital marketing agency seeking an experienced Contract Project Manager to lead website builds and ongoing support engagements on a project-by-project basis.

You will plan, track, and deliver against scope, timeline, and budget, coordinating cross-functional teams and changing orders while communicating with clients to ensure satisfaction. Assignments vary and may include launches and maintenance work.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project management experience, agency experience ideal.
• Proven track record and significant experience delivering website projects with PM processes.
• Expertise or deep familiarity with website development (WordPress ideal).
• Proven cross-functional collaboration and high client satisfaction.
• Experience defining and managing project workflows.
• Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, design tools (Figma) and PM tools (ClickUp).
• Comfortable with client-facing interactions and able to manage relationships on smaller accounts when needed.
• Comfort managing stakeholder expectations and feedback.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Well-rounded skills including business acumen, strategic thinking, risk management, and execution capabilities.
• Demonstrate initiative when faced with problems; nice to have hybrid role experience.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and manage assigned website projects per SOW.
• Balance stakeholder expectations regarding timeline, cost, and scope.
• Build and manage an overall project plan to deliver expected results.
• Coordinate project activities and communications to achieve outcomes.
• Facilitate and track adherence to the SOW, including change orders.
• Create change order estimates and draft change order documents for clients.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, decisions, and changes.
• Collaborate across teams with a flexible, positive attitude and ability to manage results.
• Monitors and communicates project status, adjusts resources and priorities as needed.
