Job summary

829 Studios is seeking an experienced Contract Project Manager to lead website builds and ongoing support engagements on an as-needed basis from Boston, MA. Each assignment will have a defined scope, duration, and weekly hour commitment agreed before start, with work often spanning multiple concurrent engagements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project management experience (agency experience ideal).
• Proven track record & extensive delivery of website projects using PM processes.
• Expertise or familiarity with website development (WordPress preferred).
• Proven cross-functional collaboration and high client satisfaction.
• Experience defining and managing project workflows.
• Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, design tools (Figma) and project tools (ClickUp).
• Comfortable with client-facing interactions and managing relationships on smaller accounts.
• Strong stakeholder management and feedback handling.
• Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Well-rounded business acumen, strategic thinking, risk management, and execution.
• Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving ability.
• Nice to have: hybrid role, Account Manager and Project Manager on smaller accounts.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and manage assigned website projects per SOW.
• Balance stakeholder expectations on timeline, cost, and scope.
• Build and manage a comprehensive project plan to deliver results.
• Coordinate activities and communications to achieve outcomes.
• Monitor change orders and maintain adherence to the SOW.
• Create change order estimates and client-friendly documents.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, decisions, and changes.
• Collaborate across teams with a positive, flexible attitude.
• Monitor status, adjust resources, and ensure team has required assets.
