Job description

With keen aesthetic judgement and a well-managed plan, you are a natural at coming up with creative ideas and solutions to support clients. There is never a time when you are not thinking of new ideas, and your clients appreciate your dedication to providing high quality and impactful campaigns. Such talent and guidance make you the right fit for this impactful Senior Art Director role with GSW.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  1. Brand "owner" at the Sr. Art Director level
  2. Partner with copywriters on brand and concept development
  3. Demonstrate ownership of assigned brand by continually coming up with new ideas proactively
  4. Collaborate with creative, account services, production, and extended team members
  5. Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to other artists within the group
  6. Act as a hands-on art director
  7. Present and sell ideas internally and to clients
  8. Manage creative process, workflow, workload, and resources among the art group
  9. Provide art direction to and empower Studio Designers, photographers, illustrators, and other external collaborators, such as broadcast producers and directors
  10. Keep up to date with trends in branding, marketing, advertising, and related communications industries
  11. Stay informed about trends within industries specific to assigned accounts
  12. Be knowledgeable about products and services specific to assigned accounts
  13. Own brand art "revisions" and partner with the Studio Production Designer for overflow periods (e.g., launch)
  14. Oversee, implement, and maintain visual brand mandatories and consistency

Requirements:

  • 3+ years advertising agency experience required
  • Healthcare advertising agency experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in all Adobe Suite programs
  • Conceptual Creativity: Ability to think abstractly, make connections between unrelated notions, and formulate innovative ideas, being seen as original and value-added in brainstorming sessions
  • Providing Direction: Ability to establish clear directions based on objectives, distribute workload appropriately based on skills, and communicate progress effectively
  • Industry Application: Quick learner of technical and industry-specific knowledge, with the skills to perform at a high level

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $60, but may vary based on qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
