Phoenix Fashion Inc. is seeking a Freelance Pattern Maker to develop first-through-production patterns for knit and woven garments, with a focus on women's dresses and suiting.

Strong technical expertise and excellent fit understanding are essential to translate designs from sketches into production-ready patterns. You will drape, draft, and revise patterns, participate in fit sessions, and prepare detailed construction notes for production.

Qualifications

  • Degree or certification in Fashion Design, Patternmaking, Apparel Production, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional patternmaking experience in contemporary, designer, or luxury apparel.
  • Advanced knowledge of draping, flat patternmaking, grading, garment construction, and fitting.
  • Proficiency in pattern digitizing software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and drape patterns from sketches, tech packs, and inspiration images while preserving designer intent.
  • Develop first, sample, and production-ready patterns for knit and woven garments.
  • Participate in fit sessions and implement pattern revisions based on feedback.
  • Create made-to-measure and custom garments per client specs.
  • Prepare production-ready patterns with seam allowances, notches, and grading details.
  • Maintain tech packs with specs, trims, materials, and fit notes.
