Job summary

Visit.org is seeking an experienced Freelance Event Specialist to manage logistics for in-person events as the on-site lead. The role requires English fluency, strong communication, and a proactive, customer-focused approach.

You will coordinate planning, staffing, setup, and teardown, while delivering a high-quality guest experience. The position offers an hourly freelance rate with the potential for recurring per-event engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience with complex, large-scale events and smaller executive-level intimate events.
• Based in Charlotte, NC.
• Schedule flexibility for per-event contract work.
• Fluency in English and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all event details, ship materials, and staff for each event as the on-site lead.
• Join planning meetings with corporate partner, nonprofit partner, and Visit.org host.
• Set up, run on-site operations, tear down, and ensure high-quality customer experience.
• Represent Visit.org at events as leader and problem-solver.
• Align roles with on-site team and partners to ensure smooth execution.
• Manage check-in and warmly welcome guests, assisting with any issues on the day.
• Escalate issues to Events Team and provide updates, photos, and videos during events.
• Pack and repack materials for return to distribution center after events.
