Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced BI professional to support a migration project involving MicroStrategy to Power BI / Pyramid Analyticsfor a large financial services organization. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in MicroStrategy reporting, semantic models, metrics, security, and business logic, along with hands-on experience translating existing reporting frameworks into Power BI or Pyramid Analytics.

Candidates should have a strong understanding of capital markets or investment banking and prior experience delivering at least 12 BI migration projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing MicroStrategy reports, dashboards, metrics, and reporting workflows.
• Understand and document existing semantic models, business logic, calculations, and security configurations.
• Translate MicroStrategy reports and underlying business logic into Power BI or Pyramid Analytics.
• Map existing data models, metrics, and KPIs to the target BI platform, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Implement appropriate data access controls, row-level security, and reporting permissions.
• Validate migrated reports and dashboards against existing MicroStrategy outputs.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data teams, and technical teams to resolve migration-related issues.
• Ensure reporting accuracy, performance, and alignment with business requirements.

Required Skills and Experience

• 10+ years of overall experience in Business Intelligence, reporting, and analytics.
• Strong hands-on experience with MicroStrategy reporting and dashboard development.
• Expertise in semantic models, metrics, calculations, security, and business logic within MicroStrategy.
• Practical experience translating MicroStrategy reports and models into Power BI or Pyramid Analytics.
• Experience in at least 12 MicroStrategy migration projectsto Power BI and/or Pyramid Analytics.
• Strong domain knowledge of capital markets, investment banking, or financial services.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

A hands-on BI professional who can bridge the gap between legacy MicroStrategy reporting and modern BI platforms, with the ability to understand complex financial business logic and ensure accurate migration of reports, metrics, security, and semantic models.
