AMN Healthcare Language Services is seeking qualified InPerson Interpreters in Concord, MA. This freelance role offers on-site interpreting for LEP patients in diverse medical settings through our AMN IPI App.

Candidates will provide accurate interpretation, maintain professional standards, and adapt to new technologies while supporting scheduling and pay features within the app. Eligible professionals must meet medical interpreting qualifications.

Qualifications

• Fluent in source and target languages with medical interpreting proficiency.
• Knowledge of ethics and standards (IMIA, NBCMI, NCIHC).
• HIPAA Training completed within the last year.
• Proof of language proficiency via medical assessment (LangStat, Reach Diversity, Language Testing Intl).
• Completed accredited medical interpreting courses (ALTA, MITS, Bridging the Gap, MiTio, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provide effective onsite interpreting for patients and staff.
• Maintain professional appearance, punctuality, and preparedness for shifts.
• Adapt quickly to new interpretation technologies and workflows.
• Pass screening before taking in-person commitments.
• Adhere to interpreter ethics and hospital-specific procedures.
• Respect LEP clients and cultural considerations in medical procedures.
• Support scheduling, session check-in/out, and feedback mechanisms.
