Job summary

NexSav is seeking a freelance media creative for event coverage in NYC. You will shoot, edit, and deliver media for 1–2 events per week, with per-event deliverables including a 1–3 minute highlight reel, a 20–50 image gallery, and organized raw footage.

Must have a portfolio of event/video/photo work, basic editing skills, and a drone license (FAA Part 107) or willingness to obtain one. Own camera and drone required; NYC-based with reliable communication.

Freelance Media Creative (Photography & Videography)

NexSav is a small NYC creative team, and we're hiring a media creative for event coverage. You'll shoot, edit, and deliver media for 1-2 events per week across NYC.

What you'd deliver per event

• An edited 1-3 minute highlight reel
• A curated photo gallery (20-50 stills)
• Organized raw footage handed back to the client

Events are capped at 4 hours on-site. Standard turnaround is 10 business days. Everything is scheduled and managed through our internal media calendar — you set your own working hours, and we never overbook you.

What we're looking for

• A portfolio showing strong event or documentary video AND photo work — we judge on output, not years of experience
• Basic editing skills
• FAA Part 107 drone license, or willingness to obtain one
• Own DSLR/mirrorless camera and drone
• NYC-based
• Reliable, professional, family-friendly communication
• Capacity for 1-2 events per week plus post-production

Nice to have

• Background or interest in community-oriented storytelling
• Comfort shooting in family- and youth-facing settings
