• Shoot: Operate camera and capture high-quality, visually engaging footage in fast-paced environments.
• Audio: Record and monitor clean audio for the host, interview subjects, and other on-camera participants.
• Lighting: Handle simple, efficient lighting setups when required.
• Social-First Capture: Shoot with Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and other digital platforms in mind.
• B-Roll & Supporting Footage: Capture establishing shots, reactions, atmosphere, behind-the-scenes moments, and other footage needed to build the story.
• Vertical & Horizontal: Be comfortable shooting for both vertical and horizontal delivery depending on the assignment.
• Edit: Edit footage into polished, engaging social videos following Scale Content’s editorial direction and format.
• Fast Turnaround: Deliver completed edits quickly, including same-day or next-day turnaround when required.

About the Role

Scale Content is seeking experienced freelance Cameramen/Editors to work alongside our on-camera hosts to create fast-turnaround, social-first video content for our digital media brands.

Assignments may include celebrity interviews, red carpets, press junkets, premieres, film festivals, man-on-the-street segments, live events, and other entertainment and cultural coverage.

This is a hands-on, one-person-band field production role. You will work closely with a Scale Content host on location and be responsible for the technical execution of the shoot, including camera, audio, basic lighting, B-roll, and supporting footage - followed by editing and delivery of finished social videos on a quick turnaround.

The ideal candidate is a versatile shooter/editor with a strong visual eye, excellent technical instincts, and an understanding of what makes video engaging across social platforms. You should be comfortable moving quickly, working with a host in unpredictable environments, and taking content from shoot through final edit with minimal supervision.
