Job summary

Mindrift is seeking a skilled CAD engineer to train and evaluate AI agents inside a real CAD environment. You will design part geometry, build reference solutions, and assess agent performance on long engineering tasks alongside CFD engineers.

The role is fully remote and requires strong CAD experience (CATIA, SolidWorks, NX, Creo) and proficiency in Python and GitHub, with an active CAD license and English at least at B2 level. Compensation is project-based with hourly rates up to $69.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of professional CAD modelling (CATIA, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Creo or similar).
• Active CAD license required.
• Comfortable with Python and GitHub.
• English at B2 level or above.

Responsibilities

About The Role

Requirements

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. A Master's or PhD is a plus
• 5+ years of professional, hands-on CAD modelling (CATIA, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Creo or similar). Experience preparing geometry for simulation (ANSYS or similar) is a strong plus
• An active professional CAD licence of your own (required)
• Comfortable with Python and GitHub
• English at B2 level or above

Project time expectations

For this project, tasks are estimated to require around 10-20 hours per week during active phases, based on project requirements. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed workload, and applies only while the project is active.

Compensation

On this project, contributors can earn up to $69 per hour equivalent, depending on their level and pace of contribution.
