Job summary

Mindrift is seeking a skilled CAD engineer to help train and evaluate AI agents operating in a real CAD environment on extended engineering tasks. You will design part geometry, build reference solutions, and assess the agent’s attempts, working alongside CFD engineers simulating your geometry.

The role requires 5+ years of CAD modelling experience, a current CAD licence, and comfort with Python and GitHub, with English at least level B2.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. A Master's or PhD is a plus
• 5+ years of professional, hands-on CAD modelling (CATIA, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Creo or similar). Experience preparing geometry for simulation (ANSYS or similar) is a strong plus
• An active professional CAD licence of your own (required)
• Comfortable with Python and GitHub
• English at B2 level or above

Project time expectations

For this project, tasks are estimated to require around 10-20 hours per week during active phases, based on project requirements. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed workload, and applies only while the project is active.

Compensation

On this project, contributors can earn up to $69 per hour equivalent, depending on their level and pace of contribution.
