Job summary

Mindrift is seeking a skilled CAD modeller to train and evaluate AI agents in a real CAD environment. You will design part geometry, build reference solutions, and assess agent attempts, collaborating with CFD engineers to simulate the geometry you create.

Candidates should have extensive CAD experience, a valid CAD licence, and proficiency in Python & GitHub, with English at B2 level or higher. This is a fully remote freelance opportunity with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; Master s or PhD a plus
• 5+ years of professional hands-on CAD modelling (CATIA, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Creo or similar) with experience preparing geometry for simulation (ANSYS or similar) is a strong plus
• Active professional CAD licence required

About The Role

Requirements

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. A Master's or PhD is a plus
• 5+ years of professional, hands-on CAD modelling (CATIA, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Creo or similar). Experience preparing geometry for simulation (ANSYS or similar) is a strong plus
• An active professional CAD licence of your own (required)
• Comfortable with Python and GitHub
• English at B2 level or above

Project time expectations

For this project, tasks are estimated to require around 10-20 hours per week during active phases, based on project requirements. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed workload, and applies only while the project is active.

Compensation

On this project, contributors can earn up to $69 per hour equivalent, depending on their level and pace of contribution.
