TransPerfect Translations International is seeking experienced legal interpreters to provide remote interpretation for U.S. immigration court hearings. Spanish is a high-volume language with steady assignments year-round, with the flexibility to accept as many cases as you’d like.

Role supports hearings across multiple U.S. time zones from your chosen location; typical assignment blocks are 2.5–4.5 hours. Services include simultaneous interpretation, consecutive interpretation, and sight

Formación

• U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
• At least one year of experience interpreting in a judicial environment, with ability to interpret for immigration courts

• Provide remote interpretation during U.S. immigration court hearings (remote)
• Perform simultaneous, consecutive, and sight translation as required
• Support hearings across multiple U.S. time zones from your chosen location

• Work format: 100% remote (U.S.-based only); no travel/onsite required
• Scheduling: Support hearings across multiple U.S. time zones from your chosen location
• Typical assignment length: 2.5–4.5 hours
• Hearing types may include: asylum, removal, credible fear, bond hearings, and related proceedings
• Services provided: simultaneous interpretation, consecutive interpretation, and sight translation
• Setting: Hearings

We are currently prioritizing interpreters in the following languages (in addition to other qualified candidates):

• Spanish (high volume)
• Turkish
• Hindi
• Punjabi
• Nepalese
• Haitian Creole

Interpreter Requirements

Candidates must meet the following:

1. U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted for permanent residence
2. At least one year of experience interpreting in a judicial environment, with the ability to interpret for immigration courts
