Responsibilities

• Ensure editors meet schedule and quality goals
• Work with ScribeConcepts and client to create or update editorial resources (style guides, guidelines, directions, etc.), and review or update templates
• Act as an editorial guide for the project team, including consultants
• Communicate with editorial staff, project managers, and other stakeholders, and escalate concerns as needed
• Perform 'read behind' or second edit during project stage and help address concerns
• Participate in project setup, launch, status, and other meetings as needed

Qualifications

Candidates should have professional experience editing educational content, and leading editorial projects, especially K-8. Exceptional candidates will also have training or certification in accessibility, editing, teaching, or a related field.

Qualified candidates may be asked to complete a short vetting task, and may be asked to meet the team. ScribeConcepts offers thorough onboarding and hassle-free invoicing for all our independent contractors.

Compensation will be based on experience starting at $45/hr.
