Job summary

Ad Astra, Inc. is hiring freelance in-person interpreters for assignments across Frederick and Carroll counties in Maryland. This contract-based opportunity covers all languages and requires strong interpretation skills, neutrality, and reliability.

Authorized to work in the United States, you may be asked to complete training if you lack legal interpretation experience. Background check and immunization proof may be required before in-person work begins.

Qualifications

• Full professional proficiency in English and at least one additional language.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to provide accurate, impartial, and culturally appropriate interpretation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable and able to attend in-person assignments throughout Frederick County and Carroll County.
• Legal interpretation experience is strongly preferred.
• Candidates without legal interpretation experience must be willing to complete the required training before accepting assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation across government-related assignments as needed.
• Maintain neutrality and accuracy during interpretation sessions.
• Attend assignments throughout Frederick County and Carroll County, MD.

Ad Astra is expanding its network of qualified in-person interpreters across all languages to support interpreting assignments throughout Frederick County and Carroll County, Maryland.

Job Type: Contract / Freelance
