Job summary

Ad Astra, Inc. is expanding its network of in-person interpreters to support ongoing interpreting needs across Howard County and Central Maryland. We seek reliable, professional interpreters who can travel to assignments within the area.

This is a contract / freelance, in-person opportunity with flexible scheduling. All languages are encouraged to apply, including Spanish, Arabic, Amharic, French, Haitian Creole, Korean, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Russian, Dari, Pashto, Urdu, and more.

Qualifications

• Full professional proficiency in English and at least one additional language.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to provide accurate, impartial interpretation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation and ability to attend assignments in person throughout Howard County / Central Maryland.
• Professional interpreting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation at assignments in Howard County / Central Maryland.
• Maintain professionalism and accuracy during interpretation.
• Coordinate with clients regarding scheduling and location.
