Job summary

Startupistan Impact Ventures gUG is seeking an experienced freelance Grant Writer & Fundraising Consultant to identify funding opportunities, develop compelling proposals, and secure grants that expand our social impact.

You will conduct funding research, craft high-quality proposals, and build a fundraising strategy while engaging prospective donors and managing submission requirements. Remote collaboration with teams across Europe and beyond is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in grant writing, institutional fundraising, or proposal development.
• Familiarity with European and international funding ecosystems, including foundations, corporate philanthropy, EU funding, and development cooperation.
• Excellent written English; German is a strong advantage.
• Experience in education, employment, digital inclusion, migration, or international development is particularly relevant.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and turn early-stage ideas into fundable projects.

Responsibilities

• Funding research: Identify grant opportunities from foundations, CSR programs, public funding, and international donors.
• Grant writing: Develop proposals, concept notes, expressions of interest, and grant applications.
