Job Description for Career Development Coach (Remote, Bilingual in Haitian Creole)

The Role

Provide effective career development and job search coaching to outplacement participants, either individually or in groups, as directed. This is a fully remote, 1099 contract position.

*Haitian Creole language skills are required for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Build rapport with participants and motivate them to achieve their career goals.
• Guide participants through coaching processes and milestone completions.
• Advise on career development, transition issues, and options.
• Accurately document service delivery in the Career Management System (CMS) following guidelines.
• Support additional transition-related programs as directed by a manager.

Must-Haves

• 3-5 years of relevant business experience with understanding of organizational structures and cultures.
• Experience in virtual coaching and proficiency with technology.
• Reliable high-speed internet, and comfort with video conferencing, instant messaging (e.g., Slack), and scheduling tools.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals from various backgrounds.
• Excellent listening skills, empathy, and sensitivity.
• Self-motivated and self-directed.
