Job Summary:

Global Impact Group LLC is seeking highly experienced Validation Linguists / Reviewers for contingency hire, pending contract award. This senior-level role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, fidelity, and legal admissibility of translated and transcribed content produced for law enforcement and judicial operations. The ideal candidate will possess expert-level language proficiency, acute attention to legal and evidentiary detail, and demonstrated experience in linguistic quality assurance (QA).

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform second-level quality assurance review of translations and transcriptions across various media (documents, audio, video).

Verify accuracy, completeness, formatting, and contextual integrity in compliance with legal and evidentiary standards.

Identify and correct linguistic, syntactic, cultural, and idiomatic inconsistencies while preserving the original tone and intent.

Ensure all reviewed materials are court-admissible and formatted according to agency or law enforcement specifications.

Provide clear written feedback to first-pass linguists and participate in QA resolution cycles.

Support linguist training and continuous improvement initiatives with insight from review trends.

Maintain strict confidentiality and handle classified/sensitive content according to federal protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:

ILR Level 4+ proficiency in both English and at least one foreign language (certification or testing evidence required).

At least 5 years of professional experience as a senior translator, transcriptionist, or QA linguist.

Prior experience validating documents for court proceedings, DEA operations, or federal investigations.

Mastery of legal terminology, transcription conventions, and chain-of-custody formatting protocols.

Demonstrated ability to detect and correct nuanced linguistic, cultural, or formatting issues in sensitive material.

Languages in Demand:

Languages vary based on caseload. High-demand needs typically include:

Spanish

Arabic

Mandarin

Russian

Farsi

Pashto

French

Haitian Creole

Vietnamese

Other mission-critical languages as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting federal agencies such as DEA, DOJ, FBI, DHS, or immigration courts.

Certification in translation or interpretation from ATA, NAJIT, or federal/state programs.

Familiarity with linguistic QA tools and version-controlled editing workflows.

Prior experience mentoring linguists or contributing to QA training protocols.

Conditions of Employment:

Employment is contingent upon contract award and successful completion of a federal background check.

Must be eligible to handle classified documents and work in secure environments (on-site or remote).

Flexible availability is preferred, including potential for high-volume review cycles.
