Job summary

AbelCine, Inc. is expanding its roster of freelance broadcast engineers and Engineers-in-Charge to support live sports and immersive production projects across the United States.

Assignments are scheduled based on event calendars, location, and crew availability, with potential weekly work during sports seasons. Responsibilities include setting up and troubleshooting broadcast gear for live events, supporting RED camera systems and flypacks, and traveling to venues as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in broadcast engineering or live sports production.
• Hands-on with broadcast video equipment and signal paths.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced live environments.
• Ability to learn Cosm’s proprietary technology.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, operate, and troubleshoot broadcast equipment for live events.
• Support camera systems including RED cameras and wide-angle lenses.
• Assist with flypack production systems setup, operation, and breakdown.
• Test and monitor video signals between cameras and distribution systems.
• Travel to venues as needed.
• Work with production crews to ensure reliable event coverage.
• Participate in training on Cosm’s proprietary technology.
• Follow established safety procedures and client standards.
