AbelCine is expanding its roster of Freelance Broadcast Engineers and Engineers-in-Charge to support immersive sports and entertainment technology on live events nationwide. It offers training on specialized production systems and recurring assignments based on event calendars.

Role involves setting up, operating, and troubleshooting broadcast equipment at venues, including RED cameras, flypacks, and IP-based workflows. Travel and long shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in broadcast engineering, remote television production, or live sports broadcasting.
• Hands-on experience setting up and troubleshooting broadcast video equipment and signal paths.
• Familiarity with camera systems, fiber infrastructure, cabling, and video transmission workflows.
• Experience working in live production environments where issues must be resolved quickly.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to different venues and setups.
• Willingness to learn specialized immersive production technology.

Responsabilités

• Set up, configure, operate, and troubleshoot broadcast equipment for live sports events and remote productions.
• Support camera systems, including RED cameras and wide-angle configurations for immersive capture.
• Assist with setup, operation, and breakdown of flypack production systems.
• Establish and monitor video signals and transmission paths between cameras and distribution systems.
• Troubleshoot video, fiber, cabling, connectivity, and other issues during live events.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure reliable event coverage.
• Participate in training to learn Cosm's proprietary technology and workflows.
• Follow safety protocols and client production standards.
• Travel to venues as needed.
