Job summary

Community.co is seeking a freelance ghostwriter to join our team of content strategists. You will research topics, conduct client interviews, and produce bios, profiles, and 700–800-word articles that align with each client's voice and goals within tight timeframes.

You will also manage revision requests promptly and engage with busy clients in a professional manner while adapting to a range of business topics from technical to leadership guidance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a post-college professional copywriting, journalism, content marketing/creation role.
• Strong portfolio of business content (blogs, white papers, articles) with samples required.
• Comfort with a wide range of business topics, from technical to leadership.
• Ability to translate complex ideas into compelling copy for a professional audience.
• Basic HTML knowledge (h2s, links, etc.).

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities

• Research article topics such that you can conduct efficient interviews that capture the client's key insights.
• Write bios, profiles, and 700- to 800-word articles for clients that are in line with our rigorous editorial standards, and the client's voice and goals, in a short timeframe.
• Turn around requested revisions quickly and courteously.
• Interact with busy clients regarding their content in a professional, constructive manner.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a post-college professional copywriting, journalism, content marketing/creation role, preferably for a brand publisher, agency, or business publication, or equivalent freelance experience.
• Strong portfolio of business content that helps elevate others' brands (samples will be required) - blogs, white papers, articles, etc.
• Comfort with a range of business topics, from the highly technical to general leadership advice.
• Ability to translate complex ideas/expertise into compelling copy suitable for the average professional/reader.
• Basic HTML knowledge (h2s, links, etc.)

• Willingness to accept and act on feedback graciously.
• Experience meeting, and beating, tight deadlines.
• Impeccable grammar, spelling, writing, and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of AP Style and web publishing.
