Job summary

Sofar Sounds in the United States is seeking a Freelance Curator to build intimate, ticketed events in your city. You’ll leverage local venues, artists, and brands to create unique pop-up experiences and grow Sofar’s community.

This is a revenue-share partnership with flexible evenings and weekends. You’ll handle curation, booking, staffing, and on-site execution while collaborating with Sofar’s Global Communities team.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in live event curation, production, and promotions.
• Experience selling event sponsorships or marketing activations.
• Strong local network and ability to engage diverse partners.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen Sofar’s brand locally and promote tickets with self-directed marketing.
• Lead city strategy: monthly show counts, neighborhoods, and themes.
• Curate and book high-quality artists and venues to grow networks.
• Staff shows and ensure magical, hospitable experiences.
• Manage city-level finances and ensure profitability of events.
• Build relationships with local businesses for sponsorships and private events.
• Develop relationships with local organizations to broaden reach.
• Collaborate with other local leaders to create buzz and expand Sofar’s presence.
• Support partnerships and ensure smooth event operations for inbound opportunities.
