Sofar Sounds in Providence is seeking a Freelance Local Producer to build and own your city’s Sofar presence. You’ll curate pop-up shows, curate spaces, and connect artists with venues and brands.

You’ll drive local partnerships and ticket sales while delivering intimate, memorable experiences tailored to the community. You’ll collaborate with a global team, balancing autonomy with access to training and resources, while events primarily occur in evenings and on weekends.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in live event curation, production and promotions.
• Experience selling event sponsorships or activations.
• Proven track record closing sponsorship deals.
• Deep connections to the local music and events scene.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen Sofar’s brand in your city and sell tickets with local marketing.
• Create a vision and execute monthly show plans and themes.
• Lead booking for diverse artists and venues and grow networks.
• Own staffing and quality of shows with hospitality focus.
• Manage the city’s financial performance for each event.
• Build relationships with local businesses for sponsorships and private events.
• Identify local orgs to expand reach and co-promote shows.
• Collaborate with local leaders to expand Sofar’s brand buzz.
• Support partnerships with high-quality curation and event ops.
